
Ambrose McGinn
Ambrose has 30 years extensive experience in hands-on executive and general management roles contributing to sales, marketing and corporate success across a number of companies and industry sectors.
Ambrose has a marketing and sales background with major Profit and Loss responsibility leading 500+FTE teams towards innovative and value added propositions in B2C and B2B market sectors.
Familiar with all aspects of commercial organisations, Ambrose is a specialist in turnaround and restructuring situations requiring tough and focused decisions with high quality execution to deliver the desired results.
Ambrose created the Intermediary Distribution Division for Abbey Santander, merging 6 self contained companies into one coherent distribution network - Abbey for Intermediaries. This involved a complete overhaul of the sales, marketing and operational areas together with the launch of a broad new product innovation approach, which brought the UK’s first WRAP to market. This is now seen as the contemporary way forward for collective investment holdings within intermediary financial services.
Ambrose was a member of the Abbey Retail Bank UK Board as well as a board member of its Insurance companies Scottish Mutual, Scottish Provident and Abbey National Life. In addition Ambrose was a Non Executive on the board of Abbey National Sharedealing Ltd and Executive Chairman of Abbey National Healthcare ltd. Ambrose has experince in mergers and acquisitions having been involved with a number of high profile transactions.
Whilst at Abbey Ambrose delivered leading edge CRM deployments within the Retail Bank to 5000+ users and a specialist on demand internet CRM capability for intermediary distribution.
Latterly as MD at JHL Ambrose has been involved with growing a consumer goods sales, marketing and distribution company from a turnover of £50 to £200 million and overseeing a complete reengineering of the finance, CRM and operating systems. Ambrose was also chairman of Blue Water Ltd, an award winning field marketing agency.

Ambrose has a BA with Honours from the University College London. He is a member of the prestigious Marketing Group of Great Britain and a Fellow of the Marketing Society. He is the former Treasurer and President of the European Sales and Marketing Association.
